3 Apr -- Kinderdijk and Madurodam, Netherlands

On Saturday we drove to the Netherlands!  We went to Kinderdijk, a small town about one hour south of Amsterdam.  At Kinderdijk (pronounced Kinder-dike), we walked along a small canal which had 12 windmills scattered about.  Later in the day, we went to Madurodam.  It is series of models of "Dutch towns on a 1:25 scale, composed of typical Dutch buildings and landmarks, as are found at various locations in the country."  Enjoy!

It rained a bit but the kids did great.

Eventually it stopped raining...

...but Jane was already a 'bit' wet...

...ok, very wet...

But it didn't bother her a bit.

The sun came out.

...and I and Jane dried off.

...and Charlie caught some air.

Yay--a picture of all of us.

Charlie and Jane loved the trains that zipped all around at Madurodam.

This is my brother's band, John Brown's Body, rockin out at a festival.

Mmmm, futbol.
