11 Apr -- Berlin, Germany, Day 3

On Sunday morning, we checked out of the hotel, and drove to the Brandenberg Gate to park.  We walked to the Reichstag.  Luckily there were no lines.

The dome of the Reichstag is made of glass.  There is a spiral walkway that you can go up while enjoying great views of Berlin.

There is an odd mirror thing that hangs in the middle.  It reflects light from the sky and reflects it downward into Germany's lower house.

Finally at the top.

It reflects the light into the lower house, which has a glass roof, so there will be no secrets in the German government.

I also spent time looking in and waited to see us walking in the mirrors.

It sure is big.

From the top you can see all around Berlin.

We then walked to the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.  It was very unique and powerful.

American tour bus!

The slabs are all different sizes and the ground slopes.

There was a Dunkin Gonuts nearby.  Great snack for the road!
First pic with just us.

Sweet parking spot.
