5 Jan -- Skidaway Island State Park, Georgia (Savannah Day 2)

On our first full day in Savannah, we went to explore Skidaway Island State Park.

We hiked Big Ferry Trail Loop -- 3.1 miles.  Not too shabby for a bunch of little feet!

 The Spanish moss hanging from the trees was really cool.

 The trail hugged the marsh.

 This palm tree remnants was quite strange.

 At the 2-mile point, there was a cool boardwalk that went to an observation platform.  Perfect place for a popcorn snack!
