One Easter Sunday we headed for Florence to see their crazy firework laden cart. No kidding, at the end of Mass: (1) a firework is lit inside the church that "shoots" out the door to a cart which (2) explodes for 20+ minutes. Forget chocolate: Italian Easter has FIREWORKS!! (High five!)
It looked like a nice day at first.
Henry did not appreciate this approach to celebrating Easter. He wanted a Easter egg toss instead.
The streets quickly filled with smoke.
Henry's brain has shutdown in self-preservation mode.
Still not pleased.
Meanwhile...20 minutes later...
View of Florence from a Piazzale Michelangelo.
We stopped at the Florence American Cemetary on the way home.
We also stopped for some gelato. Charlie hears footsteps...or just his beating heart.
Dinner.
Yay--Easter!
San Gimignano in the center.
