We were out the door at 8:00 and on a gondola to Grutschalp by 9am. Grutschalp is at about 5,000 feet above sea level. We then hiked to Murren for lunch which took about 1.4 hours on stroller friendly paths. We had lunch and then walked down to Gimmelwald and took a gondola down to Stechelberg. From there we walked to Trummelbach Falls and then back to the apartment at 4:30pm.
Total distance walked = 9 miles! (Thanks to wikimapia.org for their distance measuring tool.)
Anna just loves gondola rides.
Maybe Anna just needed a lollypop to cheer her up!
Let the observations begin.
Charge! Caution: Watch out for Jane's braids.
"These rocks are for my collection."
Jane carried these rocks for a while.
No kidding.
Looking at the Staubbach creek, it feeds one of the waterfalls.
Only 40 more minutes to Murren!
Another playground-lunch.
These parasailers dotted the sky.
Perfecting our toss for when this is recognized as an Olympic event.
Still have some work to do with Jane.
What, another playground? This one was at the Gimmelwald Gondola and was a perfect way to kill 15 minutes until the next gondola.
Cows, of course.
At Trummelbach Falls, Charlie was a bit petrified, and I don't blame him. It was super loud and wet and cold.
Jane has no fear; Charlie and Henry do.
Self portraits with 5 people are tough.
Henry can really move when released from Anna's back.
