27 Mar -- Seven Falls from Bear Canyon Road

Another great day for a hike!

This time we parked at the end of Bear Canyon Road.  There is a trailhead there.  It is about .7 miles to the Sabino Canyon Trail that takes you to Seven Falls.

Just 10 minutes from the parking lot is a nice little stream.  We shall return...maybe with the entire 6 pack...and hang out here in the shade tomorrow!

Charlie helped Henry cross the stream.

Don't worry, I was 'downstream' and would have caught them...

...or they just could have stood up!

I know -- third photo of Henry from the same moment...but I love his face too much!

So you say you are a thirsty cactus!

Henry got great joy from wasting a precious commodity in the desert.

 Lizard!

From the intersection with the Sabino Canyon Trail that takes you to Seven Falls it was about another .3 miles to where we stopped for our snack by another stream.

After this photo, Henry said, "I drank Charlie's water."

 Whoa...that was a close one!

 Farmer Charlie.

They love to collect sticks along the hike.

2.5 hours, 2.5 miles, 2 streams, and nothing but sweat and smile!

We got home and Anna and Jane and George were having a picnic at the park in our neighborhood.

25 Mar -- Sabino Canyon

Had a great hike with Charlie, Jane and Henry at Sabino Canyon.

Green trees!  There must be water!

 Henry sees a snake!

 Ahhhhh....shade!

 Kid CamelBaks are the best!

Back to the car!

24 Mar -- Henry's Soapy Hair

Henry put a bit of hand soap in his hair...

Such remorse.

23 Mar -- Tanque Verde Falls, TMC Festival, and Camping in the Backyard

We had a busy day!  In the morning, I took Charlie and Henry to Tanque Verde Falls with our friends, the Smileys.  Later, Charlie and I went to Tucson Medical Center where they had a lot "Be Safe Saturday."  There were a lot of activities and displays from local 'safety' oriented organizations such as the Fire and Police Departments and the YMCA.

We have already WELL surpassed the total number of sunny days we had in Germany over 3 YEARS in the 7 months we have been here in Tucson!

Oh, Henry!

Charlie really wanted me to take this picture, so I thought I would post it here.

Fun time at Safety Day.

The highlight was the wall climb from the YMCA.

Charlie showed no fear.

Right about here he said, "OK, I want to come down."

We are practicing camping out back.  I hope to take Charlie and Jane camping this week...possibly Henry if I can find a way to tether him to me when we fall asleep so he doesn't wander off into the wild.
