30 Oct -- Pumpkin Carving

Stand back!  Dad's got a knife!

"Janey...smile!" gets you the above photo...

 ...and this one...

...until you say, "Be sweet Jane."

"That poor pumpkin never did anything bad to you dad!" cried Jane.

We put the pumpkins outside the front door and hopefully by morning a pack of wild javelinas (wild boars) will come by and eat them all!  Javelinas have eaten our neighbor's pumpkins.

28 Oct -- Howl-O-Ween at the Tucson Zoo

Tonight we went to Howl-O-Ween at the Reid Park Zoo in Tucson.  It was a blast.

Jane gets her serious trick-or-treat game face on.

 We started in Candy Land.

No where does the candy come out.

Finally...we made it to a "pumpkin patch" and the fall season is complete!

21 Oct -- Two-A-Day-Pool Tucson AZ

Last day without Anna.  To the pool!

 Good form.

Henry does his best Golden Retriever dive into the pool.

Charlie can now swim the entire length of the pool doing the breast stroke with his arms and regular kicking with his legs.  Pretty cool.

TAKE ONE for jumping in the pool together.

TAKE TWO BELOW:

This was Henry's last group jump of the day.

20 Oct -- Jeepin' and Monster Mash at Collier Elementary

With Anna gone for 4 days, what do you do?  You DON'T stay in the house!

First: a quick trip up Redington Pass.

Somehow it almost looks kind of green along the flat land below.

Henry doesn't care for all the wind, but the goggles help.

 Second stop: McDonald Park.

Henry hiding...if you don't move, Charlie can't see you.

Third Stop: Monster Mash Carnival at Collier Elementary.

 Henry LOVED the train ride.

Jane spots the moon...always a big event of every day in the Edgar family.

Charlie asked for a mustache.

Jane asked for a tiara.

Henry asked for a rainbow, a dinosaur, a spider, a lizard...

The nice girl said, "How about a purple dinosaur?"  Yes!  Then Henry put his hand on her knee and threw his sly eyes at her..."How about a date?"  No.

Not yet (totally) defeated, Henry makes his final move on the cheerleader.

There was a trick or treat hallway.

The Beatles got back together for a couple songs.

Charlie does his best French-facial expression and yells: "Sacre bleu!  Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries."  Henry took offense to this joke.
