22 Feb -- Henry, Biersdorf Am See, and the First Bath

Jane holding the cool new doll mommy brought home.

We went to Biersdorf Am See in the afternoon and it was a beautiful day.

"Grama and Pops" playing with Jane at the playground.

Charlie looks forward to the X-games in 2026.

Whatever you do--don't make him lose his focus.

Henry had his first bath.

21 Feb -- The Mosel River

We spent the day driving around taking in the sights of Germany.  We saw tons of vineyards along the Mosel and Rhine Rivers.  We also stopped quickly in Bernkastel-Kues to enjoy the view from above the Mosel River.

Charlie representing the Russelburgs with his Steelers jersey (notice he is riding in the trunk).

20 Feb -- Anna and Henry Come Home

Here are some pics from Anna and Henry's homecoming.  Anna stayed four nights at the hospital.  She was very fortunate to have the Olympics to watch...and of course, hang out with Henry.

The kids (and my mom) made a sign for Anna and Henry.

And the assault begins.

Anna's first non-hospital food!

Henry gained some quick props form Charlie and Jane with his gifts...

..."I like Henry!"

19 Feb -- More Henry Pics

Here are a couple more pics. Anna should be home on Saturday. I will try to post more as time permits.

Congrats to my (Dan's) Aunt-in-law Pamela for winning the baby guessing contest.  She went 'large' with the weight.  My brother, Adam, also went large, but Pam nailed the gender.  It was fun to read all the guesses and we hope you had fun with it.

A little fun before the birth.

This is not an illusion--this baby really is only a couple hours old.

11 Feb -- Naked Window Climbing Should Be an Olympic Sport

The girl is fearless, I'll give her that.  Poor thing has a Mom who can't coordinate her wardrobe, though...or at least put some underwear on the girl!

11 Feb -- Ladybugs and Updates

Well, the snow on the East coast has finally hit us here.  Dan's parents' flight was canceled yesterday and they will be coming in this Sunday instead.  We are bummed that they got the bump, but sooooo happy that they will be here so soon.  The kids are doing well and I think they are getting excited about the baby's arrival.  Maybe it's more that they are anxious to have their Mama be able to play duck duck goose and lay on the floor with them again, though.  Charlie was bringing me books the other day as I sat in the chair in his room and I tried to put him in my now non-existant lap and he said, "No, Mama, I'll sit up here (on the arm of the chair) so I don't hurt the baby".  What a good big brother he is!

We've been calling Jane our Ladybug for a while now.  There's a series of books called Ladybug Girl and she has a friend who's Bumblebee Boy.  The kids really like these books, so I couldn't pass up these pajamas when I saw them!

8 Feb -- Super Bowl Commercials

We had several "commercials" that Dan created played during the Super Bowl pregame and game last night on AFN. Armed Forces Network (AFN) doesn't allow real commercials, so they had a contest for viewers to create their own. Here are a few. I'll add the rest later tonight.

4 Feb -- Robots Return

What else do people do with boxes they get in the mail besides the Robot?

4 Feb -- 37 Weeks Pic

37 Weeks pregnant and 6 months of no haircut, YIKES! But tomorrow I go to get a cut and in less than 2 weeks, I'll not be lugging around this belly...well, at least not part of that belly :)

30 Jan -- Band at the Officer's Club at Spangdahlem

On Saturday night, my band played at the Officer's Club on base at Spangdahlem. It was a lot of fun.

Anna and I 'pregamed' in the candy isle: there is no party without Willy Wonka candy.

The view from behind my drum set.

We played a bunch of covers: Weezer, Bloodhound Gang, Stone Temple Pilots, and of course, Taylor Swift for the ladies.

The best groupie ever!
